Idiyappam






Preparation time : 10 mins
Cooking time : 15 mins
Makes : 12 pieces


Ingredients :
  • Rice flour - 1.5 cups
  • Water - 1 cup
  • Salt - to taste
  • Sesame oil - 1 tsp

Method :
  1. Take water in a pan, add salt and oil bring to boil.
  2. Take rice flour in a bowl, sprinkle little boiling water and make as a soft dough. The dough should be slight sticky.
  3. Take idiyappam maker. Fill with the dough.
  4. Grease idli plates with oil.
  5. Gently squeeze from the top and make as swirl.
  6. Steam for 15 mins.
  7. Remove with the help of the spoon.
  8. Serve hot with gravies.

Take water in a bowl add salt

Add oil

Bring to boil

Take rice flour in a bowl

Sprinkle little boiling water and form as a soft dough

The dough should be little sticky

Take idiyappam maker
 
Fill with dough

Grease idli plates with oil 

Gently squeeze from the top 

And form as a swirls 

Steam for 15 mins

Remove with the help of the spoon

Serve hot with gravies
