Mushroom masala dosa






Preparation time : 5 mins
Cooking time : 40 mins
Makes : 4 dosas

Ingredients :

For masala :

  • Oil - 4 tsp
  • Fennel seeds - 1/2 tsp
  • Onion - 2 (chopped)
  • Ginger garlic paste - 1 tsp
  • Tomato - 1 (chopped)
  • Mushroom - 250 gms (cut into 4 pieces)
  • Chilli pwd - 1 tsp
  • Coriander pwd - 1 tsp
  • Pepper pwd - 1 tsp
  • Garam masala - 1/2 tsp
  • Turmeric pwd - 1/2 tsp
  • Salt - to taste
  • Coriander leaves - few
For dosa :


Method :

For masala : 

  1. Heat oil in a pan add fennel seeds.
  2. Saute onions till slight brown.
  3. Add ginger garlic paste fry for a min.
  4. Add tomatoes and cook till mushy.
  5. Now add mushroom, chilli pwd, coriander pwd, pepper pwd, garam masala, turmeric pwd and salt.
  6. Mix well. Cover and cook for 10 mins.
  7. Sprinkle coriander leaves and keep aside.
For dosa :

  1. Heat a tawa. Pour one full ladle of batter.
  2. Gently spread in circular motion. Dizzle some oil / ghee.
  3. Cook till crispy. Gently place some mushroom masala in the centre of the dosa.
  4. Fold and serve hot.

Heat oil in a pan add fennel seeds

Now add mushroom pieces

Add chilli pwd, coriander pwd, pepper pwd, garam masala,
 turmeric pwd and salt

Mix well

Cover and cook for 10 mins

Sprinkle coriander leaves and keep aside

Heat a tawa. Pour the batter

Gently spread in circular motion

Dizzle some oil / ghee

Cook till crispy

Place some masala in the centre of dosa

Gently fold

Serve hot
