Ingredients :
- Coconut - 1/2 cup
- Ginger - 1/2 inch piece
- Green chilli - 1
- Bengal gram / Pottukadalai - 2 tbsp
- Salt - to taste
- Water - as needed
For tempering :
- Oil - 1 tsp
- Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
- Urad dhal - 1/2 tsp
- Curry leaves - few
Method :
- Take coconut, ginger and green chilli in a mixer grinder. Give a pulse.
- Add bengal gram / pottukadalai and salt.
- Grind to a fine paste by adding water.
- Adjust the consistency.
- Heat a tadka pan, add oil, mustard, urad dhal and curry leaves.
- Fry for a minute.
- And pour over the chutney.
- Serve with idli or dosa.
