Spring roll sheets - homemade






Preparation time : 15 minutes
Cooking time : 5 minutes
Makes : 10 - 12 sheets


Ingredients : ( 1 cup = 240 ml )
  • All purpose flour / Maida - 1.5 cups + for dusting 
  • Salt - to taste
  • Ghee - 1 tbsp
  • Water - as needed
  • Oil - for greasing 

Method : 
  1. Take maida, salt and ghee in a bowl. Mix well.
  2. Add needed water and knead to a soft dough.
  3. Divide the dough into 12 and keep aside.
  4. Take one dust into flour. Roll into 6 inch diameter.
  5. Make same as with the other one also.
  6. Take one part grease with oil and sprinkle some flour.
  7. Cover it with the another rolled part.
  8. Press gently and start rolling again.
  9. Roll in the form of very thin chapati.
  10. Cut into square.
  11. Place it on a hot tawa.
  12. Cook on both sides for 5 seconds.
  13. Then remove from the tawa.
  14. Gently peel from the edge and divide the sheets to two.
  15. Use immediately or cool, wrap with aluminium foil and store in a zip lock pouch and freeze it .
  16. Whenever needed throw out from the freezer 30 minutes before, stuff seal and fry.

Take maida, salt, ghee 

Add needed water 

Knead to a soft dough and divide into 12 equal balls

Take one ball. Dust with flour 

Roll into 6 inch diameter 

Continue the same with the other 

Grease with oil and sprinkle some flour on one part

Cover with the other one 

Press gently 

Start rolling 

Roll thinly like chapati 

Cut into square 

Place it on a hot tawa 

Roast for 5 seconds on both the sides 

Remove from the tawa 

Gently peel from the edge and divide it into two 

Cool well 

Cover with aluminium foil 

Place it on a zip lock pouch and freeze it 

whenever needed throw out from the freezer 30 minutes before
